New Series of Siva’s Vigyan Bhairav Tantra

Today begins a new tour through Siva’s ancient book, ‘Vigyan Bhairav Tantra’, one of the most fascinating, and possibly the oldest, to be translated into English.

Lakshman Joo’s superb translation has authenticity and insight that make it one of the great spiritual classics, along with Gia-Fu Feng and Jane English’s version of ‘Tao Te Ching’, ‘Zen Flesh Zen Bones’ by Paul Reps (which contains this translation of ‘Vigyan Bhairav Tantra’ as an appendix), Idries Shah’s ‘The Way of the Sufi’, Osho’s ‘I am the Gate’ and J A Krishnamurti’s ‘Freedom from the Known’.

Read all these books with quiet awareness and you will find the path with ease.

Please enjoy these small daily readings which begin below and try out each technique, at least for a few minutes every day. I wish you well on your adventures with meditation.
